PADMASHREE FOR THE MILLION PLANT PARENT

How many trees have you planted in your lifetime? If this question be asked, most of them stay blank, some may say 2 or 3 but this man would have a million replies! Hailing from Redyapalli, a small village in khammam district of Telengana, Ramayya with his fifty years of persistent efforts has changed a huge portion of barrenland to a gorgeous garland. Though the people around his neighbourhood ridiculed him for his consistent behaviour, he doesn’t give up. For his consistency, the honourable Padmashree award reached his hands.
Ramayya’s day begins with the journey through his bicycle with his pocket bulged with seeds, he sows them in the places near the water bodies and the land that is considered futile for farming. He widened up his knowledge on plants by reading many articles and books regarding them. The Karnataka University praised him with Doctrate for his unbound efforts and enthusiasm.   If we have a varietal range of gift options to choose for special occasions, this Vanamitra awardian would always gift a living seedling!  He would always quote,” The evolution is embodied within a smallest seedling...wherin when a seed emerges into a generous tree, the security of our mother earth is assured”

Let us plant trees and that will surely nurture our life on Earth!
